TRU WEEKLY: New Music from Whitney C., Apollo Sun “Conversations” Music Video Release, Graffititech “Lost and Found” Premiere

This week on Tru Weekly: We’ve got new music videos from producer Graffititech and rock band Apollo Sun, as well as some sultry sounds from one of my favorite poets, Whitney C.

Whitney C.

OCTOBER 29:

Whitney C.’s (@Whit_B_Wells) voice will hypnotize you on her new track “Sober”. Although she’s better known for her first passion, spoken word, Whitney makes us pay attention to her career as a singing artist on this seductive piece.  In the song she questions her mate’s loyalty to her in the absence of alcohol. Downloadable or no?

Apollo Sun

OCTOBER 30:

Rock group Apollo Sun, featuring Sela member and “The Cut” creator @JLeezy, have finally released their first music video for one of the singles off of their forthcoming EP,  Click Away. In the “Conversations” video JLeezy finds love in a bar and quickly loses it, only to recover his interest later as the night draws to an end. Shoutout to Apollo Sun for using the Inner Harbor as the backdrop for their performance, that’s how we do!

Click Away drops December 4.

OCTOBER 31:

Baltimore arts collective Cre3sol (@Cre3Sol) and producer Graffititech (@Graffititech) (remember Blissfully Inadequate?) joined forces to release the visuals for “Lost & Found”, one of the tracks off of Graffititech’s latest beat tape. The silent video, so appropriately released on Halloween, follows the producer around as he joins a party with some unexpected creepy characters in the mix. Sure scared me!

The video was directed by the very talented Heru Gin. This isn’t the first time I’ve peeped his videography skills so I can tell you that homeboy produces quality music videos. You can also peep other Baltimore producers like @ActionBastard, @Berkolover , @AkmarShabazz, @UncleRussie, and @MillionaireMax playing some of the creepers. S/O to all these fellas!

Check back here next Friday for another dose of Tru Weekly, your weekly roundup for Baltimore’s Hip Hop Happenings!
